Here are the general steps for installing and mounting tires for an electric scooter:
-
Prepare the necessary tools: spanner usually 18mm, spoke wrench, hand pump or air compressor.
-
Remove the front or rear wheel by unscrewing the nuts or bolts that hold it in place on the hub.
-
Remove the tube and the old tire from the rim
-
Place the new inner tube in the tire before popping the valve out of the rim
-
Place the new tire on the rim, making sure it is properly aligned.
-
Inflate the tire to the recommended pressure (usually between 30 and 45 PSI).
-
Reassemble the wheel onto the hub and tighten the nuts or bolts by hand.
-
Check that the wheel spins freely and that the tire is well centered on the rim.
Tips:
- Use grease on the spokes to make them easier to install.
- Use a socket wrench to tighten the wheel nuts or bolts more easily.
- Check tire pressure regularly to maintain optimal performance of your electric scooter.
